Management Zones

What is a Management Zone?

Management zones allow us to group together monitored entities or metrics. Multiple rules can be set which can apply to Services, Process Groups, Hosts, Web Applications, etc. We can then set specific properties and conditions that the entities must match in order for them to be part of the management zone.

For example, we can pull in hosts that have a certain tag or belong to a certain host group, and processes that belong to a certain process group. Management zones can overlap, meaning an entity can belong to multiple management zones at the same time.
